They are prepared to discuss preventative medicine so that every pet can stay as healthy as possible. They will also do everything that they can to make a sick pet feel better as soon as possible.
Dr. Debra Moore, DVM
Dr. Debra Moore is the Owner and Veterinarian at TLC Animal Hospital, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her practice. Born and raised in the suburbs of New York, Dr. Moore developed a deep love for animals early on. She pursued her passion by earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Her time in more rural college settings fostered her appreciation for smaller town communities. Dr. Moore continued her education at Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree. In 1994, Dr. Moore relocated to Tampa, and six years later, she moved to Citrus County after purchasing Dumas Veterinary Hospital from Dr. Ronald Dumas. This move allowed her to be closer to her in-laws, and she has been serving the community ever since.
Dr. Moore’s inspiration to enter the veterinary field stemmed from her lifelong love of animals and her desire to help them. She finds immense joy in saving an animal’s life or improving their quality of life, strengthening the bond between pets and their owners. A pivotal moment in her career came during a summer break from college when she worked as a veterinary assistant at an emergency clinic, where she was utterly fascinated by the work. Professionally, Dr. Moore has a keen interest in dermatology, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. She is an active member of the Florida Veterinary Medical Association (FVMA), the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), and the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).
Outside of work, Dr. Moore enjoys a vibrant personal life with her husband, daughter, and five dogs. She has a passion for music, art, the beach, bicycling, traveling, and gardening, which provide a well-rounded balance to her professional endeavors.
Jessica
Lead Technician
Jessica Pringle is the dedicated Lead Technician at TLC Animal Hospital, bringing her passion for animal welfare to every aspect of her work. Raised in Citrus County, FL, Jessica’s roots run deep within the community where she has fostered her love for animals from an early age.
Her journey into the veterinary industry was a natural progression of her lifelong affinity for animals. Jessica finds fulfillment in helping animals and educating their owners to ensure they receive the best possible care. As a Lead Technician, she embraces the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of both pets and their families.
Outside of her role at TLC Animal Hospital, Jessica leads an active life on her small farm, where she enjoys riding her horses and exploring the great outdoors. Whether it’s navigating muddy trails on side-by-sides or tending to her garden, Jessica finds joy in every moment spent outdoors. She cherishes the companionship of her adventurous dog, Payton, and relishes in their shared love for road trips and new adventures.

Christin Hook brings 18 years of invaluable experience in veterinary medicine to her role as a Veterinary Technician at TLC Animal Hospital. Born and raised in the field, Christin’s journey in animal care began with a passion for helping furry companions and their devoted owners.
With a wealth of knowledge accumulated over nearly two decades, Christin found her calling early on in the veterinary profession. Her unwavering dedication to the well-being of animals and the satisfaction derived from making a positive impact on their lives solidified her belief that she was indeed in the right profession.
Outside of her fulfilling career at TLC Animal Hospital, Christin finds joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether it’s spending quality time with her family, embarking on new adventures through travel, or cheering on her favorite football team, Christin cherishes every moment spent outside of work. Her love for animals extends beyond the clinic walls, shaping both her professional and personal pursuits.
Missy Moore
Veterinary Technician
Missy Moore, a dedicated Veterinary Technician at TLC Animal Hospital, brings a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted passion for animal care to her role. Hailing from Citrus County, Florida, Missy’s journey into the veterinary field began in her childhood, where she was raised on a family farm and actively participated in the local 4-H program. It was during this time that she developed a profound appreciation for animal welfare, inspired by the guidance of her mentor, Dr. Ronald Dumas, who volunteered with the program.
After graduating from Citrus High School, Missy pursued her calling in veterinary medicine, driven by her innate love for animals and the desire to make a positive impact on their lives. Married to her high school sweetheart, Brian, Missy is a devoted mother to three children and shares her home with four beloved dogs. In addition to her professional commitments, Missy and her family enjoy fostering puppies, kittens, and even bunnies and squirrels, extending their compassion beyond their own pets.
Outside of work and family life, Missy finds joy in reading and indulging in video games, often bonding with her husband and children over shared interests. Her dedication to the well-being of animals, combined with her nurturing spirit and commitment to lifelong learning, make Missy an invaluable asset to the TLC Animal Hospital team.
Maddie Rownd
Veterinary Technician
Maddie Rownd is a dedicated veterinary technician at TLC Animal Hospital in Inverness, FL. Joining the team on March 11th, 2024, Maddie brings a blend of compassion and technical expertise to her role, ensuring the wellbeing of beloved pets under her care. Originally from Marietta, GA, Maddie pursued her educational aspirations, graduating in 2023, and is currently furthering her studies to become a veterinary technician. Relocating with her family to Inverness, Maddie found her passion for animal care thriving in the warm Florida community.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Maddie finds joy in simple pleasures outside of work. A skilled baker, she delights in crafting delectable treats, alongside honing her talents in crocheting intricate designs. When not in the kitchen or crafting corner, Maddie can be found outdoors, diligently training her beloved dog. With a heart for animals both in and out of the clinic, Maddie embodies a commitment to care that extends far beyond the confines of her workplace.
Lauren Arnold
Veterinary Technician
Lauren Arnold is a dedicated Veterinary Technician at TLC Animal Hospital, brings a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted passion for animal care to her role. Born in upstate New York, Lauren moved to Florida when she was just five years old. Her journey into the veterinary field began early in life, inspired by her close friendship with Dr. Moore’s daughter and her volunteer work at TLC Animal Hospital during her middle and high school years.
Lauren holds an associate’s degree in psychology from the College of Central Florida (CF), where she gained valuable insights that complement her veterinary work. Her educational background, combined with her lifelong love for animals, has made her an empathetic and skilled veterinary technician. Lauren’s favorite aspect of her job is being a voice for the patients, ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys a vibrant life filled with her favorite hobbies. She is the proud owner of a dog named Mila and a cat named Kitten. In her free time, Lauren loves to read, explore Disney, and embark on kayaking adventures. Her commitment to both her profession and her personal passions makes Lauren an invaluable member of the TLC Animal Hospital team.

Lead Receptionist
Hope Mead, the Lead Receptionist at TLC Animal Hospital, brings her passion for animals and years of experience to her role. Raised in Citrus County since the fourth grade, Hope’s love for animals has been a lifelong affair.
While her formal education was put on hold due to family commitments, Hope found her calling in the veterinary industry when she joined TLC Animal Hospital in 2006 as a veterinary assistant. Despite a recent transition to receptionist duties due to a shoulder injury, her dedication to animal care remains unwavering.
Outside of work, Hope finds joy in her family life, happily married to her husband Floyd and actively involved in the lives of her large extended family. Whether cheering on loved ones at sporting events or celebrating special occasions, Hope values time spent with her family. In her leisure time, she indulges her love for gardening and immersing herself in nature. Her pets also hold a special place in her heart, and she enjoys bonding with them through play and affection. With a blend of professional expertise and personal passions, Hope embodies the spirit of care and compassion both at home and at TLC Animal Hospital.
Cheri
Receptionist/Book Keeper
Cheri Fill was born and raised in the sunny state of Florida, spending her formative years in Dunnellon. After graduating from Lecanto High School, she delved straight into the veterinary world, driven by an innate passion for animal care that had been brewing since her youth.
With an unwavering dedication to her craft, Cheri found her calling as a Receptionist/Book Keeper at TLC Animal Hospital. Her journey into the veterinary industry began right after high school, and she knew instantly that it was where she belonged. Guided by her love for animals and a desire to make a difference, she has since become an integral part of the TLC team.
Outside of work, Cheri finds joy in the simple pleasures of life. She shares her adventures with her husband, Bob, and their two children. Weekends are often spent camping amidst nature, accompanied by their beloved pets. When not exploring the great outdoors, Cheri can be found indulging her creative side through baking or tending to her flourishing garden. For Cheri, life is all about embracing every moment with those she loves, both two-legged and four-legged alike.
Ethan
Receptionist
Ethan Brown left the chilly Michigan winters behind at 27, opting for the sunnier skies of Florida. Despite a high school diploma and some college courses in game art and design, Ethan discovered his true passion in animal care. Fueled by a deep-seated desire to learn and share knowledge about proper animal welfare, he found fulfillment in interacting with furry companions at TLC Animal Hospital.
His journey to this fulfilling career wasn’t straightforward. Ethan explored various unrelated jobs, from retail to factory work and even a stint as a Halloween scarer at a theme park, but none provided the sense of purpose he craved. However, everything changed when he entered the world of veterinary clinics, where he discovered a profound connection to helping animals that aligned perfectly with his compassionate nature.
Outside of work, Ethan relishes time with his extensive family, finding joy in exploration, gardening, and video games. Together with his husband, he cares for a lively household of pets, including dogs, cats, and chickens, each adding richness to his life’s tapestry.
